MQ-1 / MQ-9 Subject Matter Expert

Put your operational and flight experience as an MQ-1/MQ-9 Pilot to work assisting the Air Force with: Mishap investigations, Safety case analysis, Developing guidance for unmanned aircraft operations, and Safely integrating RPAs into the National Airspace.
Want to be part of the unmanned aviation revolution but tired of deployments and shift work? The team you’ll lead works normal office hours, 5-days/week from the Air Force Safety Center with some occasional short-term travel. This is a non-flying position, so no medical exam is needed.
Required Experience:
– 6 years as a Pilot flying the MQ-1 (Predator) and/or MQ-9 (Reaper)
– Previous Instructor Pilot in the MQ-1 or MQ-9
– Capable of obtaining a Secret security clearance


Air Force Operational Energy Analyst

RSL is seeking an Air Force Analyst to support the Operational Energy office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force in a position located at Air Combat Command (ACC), Langley AFB, VA.

In this role, you will assist the Air Force Operational Energy Office addressing a broad range of issues associated with Air Force Operations specific to Air Combat Command from an operational perspective.

Primary Responsibilities:

A) Conduct analysis of day-to-day ACC operations practices to determine how changes in policy, procedures, and techniques can reduce operational energy expenditure
B) Support advocacy, outreach, and engagement efforts on behalf of SAF/IEN to stakeholders in the ACC enterprise
C) Develop Business Case Analyses on potential aviation energy efficiency initiatives for aircraft and 3rd party applications
D) Lead other aviation energy efficiency projects
E) Perform analysis on potential and existing aviation fuel efficiency initiatives
F) Develop aviation energy efficiency issues for consideration as input to the Program Objective Memorandum budget submission
G) Develop and assess aviation energy metrics to develop opportunities for energy savings measures
H) Participate in Energy Working Groups
I) Participate in Development of Adaptive Fuel Strategy for ACC.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Requires a BA degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience
