The President and CEO of Resilient Solutions, Fred Roggero, leads the Safety Management System (SMS) team of the FAA UAST. The SMS Team directly supports the UAST objectives of:
- Garner a strong safety culture across Unmanned Aircraft industry and end users.
- Show the government and the public at large that the Unmanned Aircraft industry is credible and safe.
The SMS Team charter is to collect, review, and share common SMS elements and Best Practices with UAS operators, manufacturers, service providers and regulators. The SMS Team briefed it’s initial work at the March 2017 meeting of the UAST.
