Fred Roggero, CEO of Resilient Solutions, presented a briefing at the National Defense University, William J Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies on May 3rd 2017. The class “Countering Transnational Organized Crime” was attended by 45 mid-level security and defense policymakers and practitioners (Government civilians in the ministries of defense and interior, police, and military officers) from 16 countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the United States, and Uruguay.
Mr. Roggero’ s presentation centered on the emerging threat of small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) in Transnational Organized Crime and ways to counter that threat through education, regulation, policy and technology.
